Taco Tuesdays just got that little bit easier and more delicious with our new Tex Mex Brats.

Try this fresh and simple recipe to add some flavour into your week!

  • Ingredients

    • Shredded coleslaw mix – 200g
    • Mayonnaise – 3tbl sp.
    • Coriander (chopped) – 1/3 cup + more to garnish
    • Olive oil – 1½ tsp.
    • Gotzinger Smallgoods Tex Mex Brat – 400g
    • Small soft tacos (corn or flour) – 6
    • Jalapeño chillies – to serve
    • Lime wedges – to serve

  • Instructions

    • In a bowl combine shredded coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, coriander and season with salt. Set aside.
    • Heat up your BBQ or a pan to a medium heat. If cooking in a pan add ½ tsp. olive oil. Place the brats on the grill or in the pan to cook for 5-10 minutes until heated through. Turn regularly.
    • Once the brats are ready remove from the heat set aside.
    • Add a light drizzle of olive oil to the pan and heat each of the soft tacos. Remove from the heat once slightly golden but still bendable.
    • Slice the brats into 2cm thick pieces.
    • To assemble the tacos, add 1/6 of the slaw mix to each taco followed by 1/6 of the sliced brats. Garnish with more coriander or pickled jalapeño chillies for a spicy twist. Serve with lime wedges.
