Our Story

Sharing the Journey

Provenance

With its origins in Austria, the Gotzinger name has come a long way since 1908...

The original owners migrated to Australia in the 1980s and opened a smallgoods factory in Burleigh on the Gold Coast. The business enjoyed growth in the foodservice sector supplying hotels, restaurants and local delis. The business was sold in 2000 to Antony van der Drift. Antony had been involved in the Smallgoods industry his entire adult life, with his father owning one of Australia’s largest Smallgoods companies, Hans Smallgoods.

Antony expanded the business, opening the James Street Deli in Burleigh Heads where Gotzinger products were sold directly to the public. After great success and an ever growing customer base the Gotzinger factory moved to a purpose built facility in Yatala Queensland. Since the move in 2003, Gotzinger has been experiencing steady growth, entering the retail market with products available in major supermarkets across Australia. Staff employed by Gotzinger has grown over the years with over 100 people now employed by the business.
