Burgers, meet hot dogs. Juicy beef Chicago Dogs loaded with melted cheese, pickles, burger sauce and all your favourite burger toppings — these Beef Cheeseburger Hot Dogs are a fun twist the whole family will love.

  • Ingredients

    • Gotzinger
      Smallgoods Chicago Dogs – 4 sausages
    • Hot dog buns (sliced) – 4
    • American cheese slices – 8
    • Burger sauce – 4tb sp.
    • American mustard – 4tb sp.
    • Iceberg lettuce (shredded) – 100g
    • White onion (fine diced) – ½
    • Dill pickles (sliced) – 12 pieces
    • Sesame seeds – 2tsp.

  • Instructions

    • Fill a medium sized pot with water and bring to the simmer. 
    • Once the water is simmering, add the Chicago Hot Dogs to the pot and
      cook for 5 minutes.
    • Remove the Chicago Dogs from the pot and pat dry with paper towel.
    • Carefully open the buns (ensuring not to split them in half) and
      place 2 slices of the American cheese inside followed by a Chicago Dog.
    • Put the hot dogs onto a microwave safe plate and heat in the
      microwave for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
    • Top the hot dogs with 1tb sp. of burger sauce, American mustard, 25g
      of shredded lettuce, a sprinkle of onion, 3 dill pickle slices and finish with
      a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
    • Serve and enjoy.
