Yeehaw, this recipe for One Pot Smoky Texas Beans is so easy and packed full of
flavour. It’s smoky, saucy and delicious!

  • Ingredients

    • Olive oil – 2tsp.
    • Brown onion (fine sliced) – 1
    • Garlic clove (minced) – 1
    • Smoked paprika – 2tsp.
    • Red kidney beans 400g tin (drained) – 2
    • Smoky barbeque sauce – 2 tb sp.
    • Vegetable stock – 500ml
    • Götzinger Smallgoods Smoky Texas Brat (2cm thick slice) – 200g
    • Salt – to season
    • Parsley (fine chopped) – to garnish

  • Instructions

    • In a medium to large pot heat the olive oil on a medium heat then add the onion and garlic. Cook until the onions are translucent.
    • Add the smoked paprika, beans, smoky barbeque sauce and the vegetable stock and simmer until the sauce has reduced – for about 15 – 20 minutes. Stir regularly to ensure the sauce doesn’t cook to the bottom of the pot.
    • Once the sauce is reduced to a thick consistency add the brat slices and cook for a further 5-10 minutes.
    • Taste and season with salt if needed.
    • Garnish with parsley and serve with your choice of eggs and toast.
